Upcoming I-25 Construction Project!

Major Construction Anticipated for August 2024

The I-25 Improved project is set to start construction as early as August 2024 on the stretch of I-25 between Comanche Road and Montgomery Boulevard to improve the efficiency of the freeway, interchanges, and frontage roads.

Residents of nearby properties may notice some early utility work or mobilization of equipment beginning in July 2024, which is not anticipated to impact traffic.

Construction will continue through spring 2027. Key improvements of the project will include:

•    New bridges at the I-25 interchanges at Comanche Road and Montgomery Boulevard
•    Reconfiguration of on- and off-ramps at both interchanges
•    Widening of I-25 in both directions
•    Additional I-25 southbound lane
•    New advanced U-turns for frontage roads
•    Additional active transportation facilities, including barrier-separated, shared-use paths at the interchanges on Comanche Road and Montgomery Boulevard.
